Good afternoon,
For this tournament we will be using 75% of each member’s handicap based on the white tees. There will be two flights and each team will be placed in a flight based on the median of the combined handicaps of the team. This is a team event so prize money that is won will be paid out equally to each team member.
With our upcoming July 5th Independence Day Red/White/Blue Event, please review the competition formats and side games for the day:
1) Team Net Skins – $5 per player
- The combined NET scores of both team members will determine the winner of each hole.
- Both players’ scores count on every hole.
- There will be no carry-overs. If a hole is tied, no skin will be awarded for that hole.
2) Team Gross Skins – $5 per player
- The combined GROSS scores of both team members will determine the winner of each hole.
- Both players’ scores count on every hole.
- There will be no carry-overs. If a hole is tied, no skin will be awarded for that hole.
3) Front 9 Best Ball – $5 per player
Each member will play their own ball for the first 9 hole
- Holes 1 through 9 will be played using a Best Ball NET format.
- Only the lowest NET score from the team on each hole counts toward the team score.
- Payouts will be awarded to the Top 4 Teams:
- 1st Place – 40%
- 2nd Place – 30%
- 3rd Place – 20%
- 4th Place – 10%
4) Back 9 Shamble – $5 per player
Each member will tee off and you will choose the best tee shot of your choice and then play your own ball to finish the hole
- Holes 10 through 18 will be played using a Shamble NET format.
- The team will record the best NET score (one score per team) on each hole for the competition.
- Payouts will be awarded to the Top 4 Teams:
- 1st Place – 40%
- 2nd Place – 30%
- 3rd Place – 20%
- 4th Place – 10%
5) Closest to the Pin – $1 per player per hole
The designated Closest to the Pin holes are:
- Hole #3
- Hole #6
- Hole #13
- Hole #17
The player hitting the shot closest to the hole will win the competition; however, the prize will be shared equally among all team members.

The tournament format will be as follows:
Front 9 – Best Ball
Each member of the team will play their own ball throughout the hole. The team’s score will be the lowest gross score recorded by either player on each hole. The Squabbit app will automatically apply handicap adjustments for tournament scoring.
Back 9 – Shamble
If you’re unfamiliar with the Shamble format, here’s how it works:
• Both players tee off on each hole.
• The team selects the best tee shot.
• Both players then play their own ball from that selected tee-shot location for the remainder of the hole.
• Each player completes the hole independently.
• The team’s score is the lowest individual score recorded by either player on the hole.
The Squabbit app will automatically apply handicap adjustments for tournament scoring.
