The Diamond Bar Men’s Club Championship is approaching. It is a two-day tournament at the Diamond Bar Golf Course. The tournament will be on Saturday, June 14th, and Sunday, June 15th. You must play both days to be eligible for the Club Championship.

To be able to participate in the Club Champion, DMBC members must have the following:
- Must have 20 rounds posted on GHIN
- Must have been a member in good standing with DBMC for three months
- Must have played in at least two tournaments with DBMC, either home or away tournament
- We will be using your six-month low index from May 31, 2025
The Club Champions will go on to play in the SCGA Tournament of Champions paid for by the Men’s Club. The following rules are required by SCGA to participate in their tournament and we will follow these rules as well:
- Gross Club Champion (no handicap) – ELIGIBILITY:The club champion must be an amateur golfer who was listed on the club’s active GHIN roster at the time they won their club championship as well as at the time of the Championship proper. Club champions must have a Handicap Index of 5.4 or less at the time of registration to be eligible for this division. If a club champion’s Handicap Index is 5.5 or higher at the time of registration, they will be asked to play in the Net Division.
- A Flight Net Champion (with handicap)
- B Flight Net Champion (with handicap)
- Senior Gross Club Champion (no handicap) – ELIGIBILITY:The club champion must be an amateur golfer who was listed on the club’s active GHIN roster at the time they won their club championship as well as at the time of the Championship proper. Club champions must have a Handicap Index of 9.4 or less at the time of registration to be eligible for this division. If a club champion’s Handicap Index is 9.5 or higher at the time of registration, they will be asked to play in the Net Division. The champion must reach their 55th birthday as of Monday, December 1, 2025.
I will send out an email sometime next week to start sign-ups for the club championship. You will be asked to send $50.00 via Zelle to the Diamond Bar Men’s Club to secure your spot for both days. Please do not send your money to secure your spot until you receive the official email asking for sign-ups. Also, each member who participates in the club championship will receive a sleeve of balls (your choice) from the Men’s Club. You will send a separate email to our Club President stating which balls you would like.

If you are not eligible or cannot play in the club championship, you are more than welcome to play in the game either on Saturday or Sunday. Also, you can still play both days even if you don’t qualify for the club championship and participate in the cash game. I have attached the points leader PDF which tells you how many “tournaments” you have played in this year so you can see if you qualify for the club championship.
