I hope this email finds you all well. For those competing in our first MAJOR event this coming weekend, I wish you the very best of luck!
I’d like to take this opportunity to share some exciting news. Following a majority vote by the Board, DBMC will be reviving a long-standing tradition ,a Team Inter-Club Match, where our Club will compete against other local clubs.
By now, you should have received the latest Points Leaderboard (attached again for your reference). This will be used to determine eligibility for the Inter-Club team. Our first match is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, August 3 at Diamond Bar Golf Course, which will also coincide with our August Home Tournament.
All Board Members will receive automatic qualification, and the remaining spots will be awarded to Regular Members in good standing based on their ranking on the Points Leaderboard. Depending on the number of players the opposing club can field, we anticipate selecting the remaining 8~10 spots to represent DBMC.
Great news—the Men’s Club will cover all entry fees, including green and cart fees, for participating team members.
As for this weekend’s competition, participants will earn:
- Triple (3x) participation points
- Double (2x) performance points based on daily results
This presents a great opportunity for Members to climb the leaderboard and/or strengthen their standing.
Looking ahead, there are three more point-eligible events remaining before team selection:
- June 28 – Non-Tournament Home Round
- July 6 – Home Tournament
- July 12 – Away Tournament at Los Verdes
