Dear DBMC Members,
As many of you know, this is my final year serving on the Diamond Bar Men’s Club Board, and I’ll be stepping down at the end of my term. It has been a pleasure serving, and I’m grateful for the friendships and fun we’ve shared over the years.
As we look ahead to next season, we’re seeking a few volunteers to help keep the club running smoothly. We’ve simplified the Board structure for next year, which means fewer positions to fill and a lighter workload for everyone involved. With a little shared effort, we can continue the tournaments, camaraderie, and traditions that make this club special.
Below are the open positions for next year:
Board Positions Overview
-
President – Leads the club and oversees operations (Current: Andry Kusnowo) — Candidates: OPEN
-
Handicap Chairman – Manages handicaps, scoring, and USGA compliance (Current: Jay Horton) — Candidates: OPEN
-
Treasurer – Manages club funds and financial reporting (Current: Bob Callanan) — Candidates: OPEN
-
Home Tournament Chair – Organizes and runs home tournaments (Current: JJ Garzone) — Candidates: OPEN
-
Away Tournament Chair – Organizes and runs away tournaments (Current: Richard Skaar) — Candidates: OPEN
-
Membership & Public Relations – Handles email communication and basic admin (Current: Stephen Collins) — Candidates: CLOSED
If you’ve enjoyed being part of the club, please consider stepping into one of these roles to help us keep things moving forward. Even one year of service makes a big difference, and you’ll have plenty of support from the rest of the team.
If you’re interested or have questions, simply reply to this email or speak with any current board member.
See you at the Membership Meeting November 2nd following the Home Tournament.
Thank you,
Paul Davis
