President:
The President shall appoint, or cause to be appointed, all Committee Chairmen, subject to the approval of the Board of Directors. The President shall act as an ex-officio member of all Committees. In the absence or inability of the President to act, the Vice President shall perform all duties of the President. If the Vice President is absent from any meeting, the Secretary shall call the meeting to order and a temporary Chairman shall be chosen. Should any officer or Director miss three consecutive meetings, the position shall be declared vacant unless the absence is excused by the Board of Directors.
Vice President:
The Vice President supports the President in overseeing the club’s operations and acts as a key leader in their absence. Responsibilities include stepping in to perform all duties of the President when necessary, assisting with the appointment of Committee Chairmen, and ensuring smooth governance within the club. The Vice President plays a crucial role in maintaining continuity and leadership.
Handicap Chairman:
The Handicap Chairman ensures fair play within the club by educating members on the Rules of Handicapping, maintaining accurate scoring records, and regularly reviewing handicaps to reflect current playing ability. This role also ensures compliance with the USGA Handicap System, acts as a liaison with golf associations, and manages administrative tasks related to the handicap system.
Secretary:
The Secretary shall keep a record of the proceedings of the Board of Directors and all meetings of the Club in a designated book. The Secretary shall conduct the official correspondence of the Club, send all required notices, and attend to other business as directed by the President and Board of Directors.
Treasurer:
The Treasurer shall be the custodian of the Club’s funds, depositing them in depositories as instructed by the Board of Directors. The Treasurer shall disburse funds upon warrants or checks authorized by the Board of Directors and signed by the proper officers. The Treasurer shall submit a statement of accounts with proper vouchers at regular Board meetings and report on the Club’s financial affairs at the last General meeting of the fiscal year. The Treasurer’s books and accounts shall be audited in June and December each year, and/or at the request of the Board of Directors.
Home Tournament Chairmen:
The Home Tournament Chairman schedules and manages golf tournaments at the club’s home course, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Home Tournament Chairmen’s Assistant:
The Home Tournament Chairmen’s Assistant supports the Home Tournament Chairman in organizing and executing golf tournaments at the club’s home course. Responsibilities include coordinating logistics, communicating with participants, and assisting in ensuring all events run smoothly and efficiently.
Away Tournament Chairmen:
The Away Tournament Chairman schedules and manages golf tournaments at the club’s away course, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Away Tournament Assistant:
The Away Tournament Chairmen’s Assistant supports the Away Tournament Chairman in organizing and executing golf tournaments at the club’s home course. Responsibilities include coordinating logistics, communicating with participants, and assisting in ensuring all events run smoothly and efficiently.
Membership, Public Relations:
Publicity, website development, replying to member emails and managing our email list.
